The Moscow Food Co-op is pleased to be able to offer donations to a variety of community non-profit organizations. Our support is provided in the form of select Co-op gift baskets, and/or food items listed below. Depending on the nature of the request, in-kind donations may be possible. Our Community Contributions Committee meets only once a month, so applications must be received at minimum six weeks ahead of time.


COMBATTING FOOD INSECURITY & SUPPORTING FOOD RESCUE

Last year alone, the Moscow Food Co-op donated 14,380 lbs of food to regional food banks & pantries.

Providing access to food and eliminating hunger are always at the top of our minds. To aid in these efforts, we partner with a network of more than 33 local food pantries. We also partner with the Palouse chapter of Food Not Bombs, which leads the way in gleaning edible foods from our store that would otherwise go to waste and distributing it to members of our community.

WHAT KIND OF DONATIONS ARE AVAILABLE?

Read below to request a donation from the Moscow Food Co-op.

The intent of the Co-op Community Contributions program is to benefit local, secular, non-profit, and non-discriminatory organizations. Preference will be given to organizations whose goals address food security issues, support BIPOC and underrepresented minorities, or strongly align with the Co-op's Ends Statement (left). Donation requests are reviewed as received by the form below, and a confirmation email or phone call will be sent, usually within a week, if accepted.

Requests must be received at least 6 weeks prior to the event or donation need.

Available donations include:

  • $25 Gift Card

  • Case of Organic Bananas or other seasonal fruit (based on seasonal availability)

  • Earth Friendly + Sustainable Gift Basket (Includes canvas tote bag, reusable straws, bamboo dining ware, etc)

  • Local Love Gift Basket (Includes an assortment of quality goods from local vendors)

  • Local Coffee Lovers Gift Basket (Includes 1 lb. local coffee and an assortment of Fair Trade chocolate)
